Las Placitas was created and established by three brothers that were born originally in El Salvador.  They came to the USA with a dream to establishing their own unique business. One of the main founders is Isidoro Amaya with his two brothers Ramon Amaya, and Jose Amaya.  Since they opened this location they have worked hard as a family to create and provide a unique style of authentic Mexican and Salvadorian Cuisine, in the heart of Capitol Hill, Washington DC.

Las Placitas became popular immediately and has been reviewed by The Washington Post, The Washington Times, Yelp.com, Google Reviews, and Trip Advisor. It has also been interviewed many times by TV media channels like Univision, Telemundo, and Channel 9 News. The owners have been a great part of the community by contributing to schools, fundraisers and participating on many different community and neighborhood events.

The founders of Las Placitas would like to express their greatest gratitude to the community, to all of the loyal and new customers for their great patronage over these amazing 33 years.  This October 5th we will be celebrating our 34th Anniversary.  We hope to keep being part of this great community for many more years to come.
